Copper is a learning app in beta. This page says what we collect, why, and who sees it. Short version: we only use your data to run Copper. No ads, no trackers, and we never sell it.

What we collect

Your account: Your name, email and password (stored scrambled, never in plain text), or your Google name, email and photo if you sign in with Google.

About you: What you tell us when you start: your age, goal, interests, level, daily goal and when you like to learn, plus your time zone.

Your learning: The courses you make, your answers, progress, review schedule, XP, streaks, coins and league standings.

The tutor: What you type or say to the tutor, saved as text, and short notes the tutor keeps about how you learn so it can help you better.

Files you add: Notes and documents you upload to build a course. They are stored privately and only you (and your class, if you add them there) can open them.

Signing in: The IP address and browser of each signed-in session, to keep your account safe.

Waitlist: Your email, if you request access.

How we use it

To run Copper: build your lessons, check your answers, power the tutor, keep your streaks and leagues going, and protect accounts from abuse. We only use cookies to keep you signed in.

Who sees it

OpenAI: Writes your lessons and powers the tutor, so your course topics, answers, tutor messages and voice-call audio are sent to them to get a reply.

Vercel and Supabase: Host the app, your files and the database, and run the code you write in lessons.

Google: Only if you choose to sign in with Google.

Your teacher: If you join a class, the teacher sees your name, progress and answers in that class.

Other learners: See your name and weekly XP in leagues and class leaderboards. You can hide yourself in Settings.

How long we keep it

For as long as you have an account. Sign-in sessions expire on their own. Ask us to delete your account and we'll remove it and your data within 30 days.

Kids

Copper is for people 13 and older. If you're under 18, get a parent or guardian's OK first. If we learn we have data from someone under 13, we delete it.

Your choices

You can change your name and hide from leaderboards in Settings. To see, download or delete your data, email us. See also our Terms.

Questions or deleting your data

Email michaelgoldstein2711@gmail.com and we'll reply within a few days. If this page changes, we'll update the date at the top.
